This modern self-catering Studio is located in a private cul de sac just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village of Tarbert where guests can access the bars, seafood restaurants and shops located around Tarbert’s idyllic harbour wall.

Whether you are stopping over on business, just passing through – perhaps on the whisky tours of the islands of Islay, Jura, Gigha or Arran, or you just plan to use the studio as a base to explore the village of Tarbert and surrounding areas, we are confident Cuillins has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Lovely wee apartment situated 5 minutes walk from the harbour in Tarbert. Welcomed in by Gary and shown around. Very clean and fresh. Huge windows overlooking the hills. We saw 3 deer just outside. Very quiet at night so slept well. Good facilities. Would definitely go back.

We stayed in Carolyn’s place for one night on the way to Islay. The check-in was really easy, the studio had everything we needed, and the view was absolutely lovely. We even saw a family of deer from the window! Big thanks to Gary for helping out with printing our ferry tickets – well and truly above and beyond.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at Carolyn’s place for one night. We had a generous welcome from Carolyn. The rooms’ are spacious, clean and well fitted out. We enjoyed watching the wild deer roaming outside in the grass and it was a quick 2min walk to Tarbert Harbour to go out for dinner. We would definitely return.

What a super studio! Beautifully clean with gorgeous bed linen and towels. We are a family of 5 with a baby and a travel cot was provided. The dog was very welcome too. There was enough room for us all for one night. Great communication with Carolyn and we were made to feel really welcome.

Carolyn’s place was absolutely amazing. We were so surprised when we arrived to find a beautiful and stylish house with an outstanding window view. The area is very beautiful and the neighbours are very friendly. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy and the utilities provided were all on point. I urge anyone that is visiting Tarbert to stay there. They will be very well taken care of.

I have just spent three nights at the Cuillins and can honestly say this is the best self catering I have ever stayed in. I am just sorry my stay wasn’t longer, having said that I have already booked again and looking forward to the next time. I highly recommend the Cuillins.

Outstanding host and amazing place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough! it is one of the best places we have stayed – very comfortable bed and living area, fully equipped kitchen and a great view from the huge windows. Location is perfect – a minute walk from the city centre of Tarbert and walk-able distance to great walking paths. Carolyn is fantastic – very welcoming and helpful. Carolyn was an exceptional host and made every effort to make our brief stay as easy and as comfortable as possible – the little personal touches made our arrival extra special. The apartment was excellent; it was spotlessly clean, not a thing was out of place and everything you would need was there…the views from the huge windows at the front of the property are stunning too! If you like to wake up and open the curtains in the morning to lots of beautiful natural light and an amazing view and location then this is the place for you. Its spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and thoughtful in all its finishing touches. As a host Carolyn is warm, friendly and always eager to help. She is also mindful of guests privacy and will assist just as required. It really is a special place and a special host. 10/10.
